Just before the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Blaire learned she is eligible for Italian (EU) citizenship through her grandmother’s lineage. During the pandemic, Blaire found herself applying for dual citizenship and wanting to learn more about her motivation to become a dual citizen. What is it about Italian culture that draws her and so many others to it? Connection. Blaire used the inspiration she found in the way Italians connect with each other over food to conceptualize Bottega Bene.
Bottega Bene is an event space and deli specializing in elevated antipasti spreads. Bottega Bene also offers meats and cheeses by the pound, retail goods, and espresso drinks. After a quick renovation, Bottega Bene opened in February 2020. The business was founded with the belief that human connection is best celebrated over food and its goal is to facilitate that connection, beautifully.
